A couple days ago I picked up six small crickets at Petco when I was buying poop bags. I read that it’s best to knock the bugs out in the freezer for a couple minutes to make feeding a little easier. Two minutes seemed to work for mine. I fed our Venus Flytrap three crickets. They should open back up in about a week, and there will be little exoskeletons left over.
