Aloe arborescens

How awesome is this variegated aloe? It was hanging out in the South African section of SF Botanical Gardens.

Aloe mitriformis - Gold Tooth Aloe

Happy flowering aloe in the South African section.

Shiny happy succulents

There was still a little sun shining on our favorite succulent section.

Dasylirion wheeleri

I don’t know very much about Dasylirions, but they’re cool.

Agave abuse

Some idiot thought it would be really cool to write a message on an agave leaf. Hopefully karma will get them back.

Happy agaves

Hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend!!!!

  1. Really? Carving words into an agave leaf? Definitely idiots. And that variegated aloe…AMAZING! Thanks for the SFBG visit.

  2. Amazing!
The red one is definitely my favorite, it reminds me the ones back at my house, mine was yellow though, but the flowers are the same.

  3. Lovely pictures. I just posted pics my visit two weeks ago to the succulent garden at SFBG. It was lovely strolling around and I got great ideas for the rock garden I am about to construct, plus bought two plants from the BG’s shop.

  4. That variegated aloe – FRIGGIN’ HAWT!!
