We did a little yelping the night before heading down to LA and found Terra Sol Garden Center. When we read, “We specialize in the unusual and the unique and carry a wide selection of plants with an especially large selection of succulents and agaves.” we had to check it out.
One of these freaky pink Kalanchoes came home with us. One cutting will live inside and the rest will go out back. Maybe we’ll have millions down the road.
It’s a seahorse made of succulents! This was by far the most impressive succulent creation at Terra Sol, but not the only one.
Yes, that’s really a six foot long succulent encrusted dragon hanging out next to the big honking Echeveria.
These are just a few of the awesome succulents containers at Terra Sol. Definitely check it out if you’re in Santa Barbara.

I can’t even imagine how in trouble I would be if I were on this trip and lived in CA! My car would be crammed full of plants!

I hadn’t heard of this place. I’m going down to SB for the orchid show. I’ll have to make sure to check this one out. Thanks for sharing such a cool place.

You guys go on so many awesome trips! You’re truly living the dream (my dream, at least…). I was going to try to hit up Lotusland when I was closer that way over the holidays, but tickets were $35! Another time. Do you have plans to catch any wildflower shows coming up in the spring?
ps: thanks for the seahorse

Hey thx….yeah, we would love to check out some desert wildflowers this spring. I think sometime between Feb and Mar they start to push out the blooms. Lotusland was a bust…they were off on holiday when we were down there. We knew that ahead of time, so we will have to catch it on another roadtrip.

I see a road trip in my immediate future. Hoping there’s some Pink Butterflies kalanchoe left when I get there!

Yeah, we love roadtrips. I saw the Pink Butterflies in one more place down in LA…I suspect it will be hitting nurserys all over in 2011.

What a cool place! I would love to visit it and take some goodies home. Love that pink kalanchoe! If you ever have too many little babies I would love to take some off your hands! LOL
