Welcome to the very first blog post on our shiny (maybe a little bit crazy) brand new blog URL! Everything has been moved over to faroutflora.com, hurray! I’m still going to be poking at it over the next couple of weeks, but nothing drastic should change. Don’t worry we’re not going to go crazy with unabandoned free to do whatever we want web hosting power. Oh yeah, update your links and all that good stuff. Last week I did a quick run around at SF Botanical Garden with the camera. My favorite Passionflower on the entire planet is starting to do its thing. Enjoy the Strybing pics and the sweet new site!

Hi Megan – it looks fantastic, I love the header! I was browsing through flickr last night and almost died when I saw that Puya photo. Absolutely stunning.

I’m a first timer. Nice blog. Love the first photo. Armeria rubifolia is the only species I can keep alive.

wow. Awesome facelift. Liked the new layout specially the header and widgets – excellent choice of colors and use of space. Consider expanding the categories, you have a lot of interesting content yet to be categorized properly.

Congrats on the new site. I noticed that in my RSS reader that the entire post does not show up like before. Is there any way for you to correct/change that? I use Netnewswire. Thanks.

God, that Puya IS amazing. I am really regretting I was too lazy/cold that evening to walk up the hill and check it out. I don’t think I’ve ever encountered that steely, matte blue in the plant kingdom before. Ah well, next year…..
