Yesterday, Zoe and I took a trip to Olbrich Gardens to check out the spring show: Wisconsin Woodlands It’s very flowery unlike the cold, snowy outdoors and goes until March 24th. The Chenille Tree (Acalypha hispida) in the conservatory is still going crazy:

Not what WI woodlands look like in any season of the year…

I know, but that’s what the flower show was called. They should have thrown “fantasy” in there

I really enjoy attending the spring flower shows. I find that as an amateur photographer it is really hard for me to get the lighting right for indoor pictures like that. I am really impressed with your results.

It’s always hard to get decent pics at flower shows. We don’t even bother bringing the big camera to them. These were all taken with my iphone and gussied up in instagram

I have a chenille tree (more of a bush) in my garden here in Rwanda — they’re really fun.
I’m looking forward to visiting Olbrich next month.
